Duke at the Sausage Sizzle celebrating one year of the clubs reopening.

Councillor Maisey said, "I am very pleased to support the young people of
Cuxton with money from my ward improvement fund as we need to support young
people as much as possible."

Cuxton Mini Mart of Bush Road Cuxton provided the sausages for the sizzle.

Cuxton Youth Club was reopened by Cuxton Community Trust last year and has
over one hundred young people on the books, each week between fifty and
sixty young people enjoy various activities at the club. Quote from one of
the youngster, "It's the best thing that has happened in Cuxton".

The Club meets in the pavilion of the recreation ground, not ideal
facilities but Cuxton Community Trust is conducting a feasibility study with
a view to provide a community centre for the village.
